Book Review, “Beneath Copper Falls,” Colleen Coble author

beneath copper falls cover

Beneath Copper Falls, by Colleen Coble, is an amazing novel. Part of the Rock Harbor series, it stands alone quite well. It is set in Rock Harbor, Michigan, located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

Dana Newell, a 911 dispatcher, escapes an abusive relationship in Washington to move back to Rock Harbor, her hometown. She moves in with her “brother,” Chris, really a stepcousin whose family adopted Dana after the death of her parents.  There she meets Boone Carter, who lost his sister to an abusive boyfriend two years before.  When she realizes that Garrett has followed her and intends to harm her again, she, along with Boone and other friends, realize that they have a dangerous situation to deal with.

I loved this book.  It was filled with suspense and yet also filled with love and friendship.  I especially liked the way Dana was not only surrounded by friends, she was encouraged to learn how to protect herself. I also appreciated the many senior citizens who encouraged Dana and prayed for her.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading Christian suspense novels.
