Book Review, “Vines Expository Bible,” Jerry Vines editor

The Vines Expository Bible, edited by Jerry Vines and published by Thomas Nelson, is written in the New King James Version.  It provides a “guided journey through the scriptures” with Jerry Vines, pastor of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Florida for almost twenty-four years.

Jerry Vines leads the reader through this Bible with insight and observations based on selections from his lifetime of ministry. Its many features include: 205 detailed outlines from Vines’ sermon archive, 148 articles for living the Christian life, 237 notes that help apply the Bible to one’s life, 311 word studies, 66 book introductions, exclusive Thomas Nelson NKJV Comfort print typeface, 10.5-point type, a topical index, full-color maps, and a concordance.

This Bible is an incredible tool for any Bible scholar. Its many features will enhance any study of God’s Word. I would recommend it to any one searching for more insight into the meaning and principles of the Bible.

I received this book free from the publisher and was not required to write a positive review.
