Book Review, “Kingdom Family Devotional,” Tony and Jonathan Evans authors

The Kingdom Family Devotional: 52 Weeks of Growing Together, by Tony and Jonathan Evans, is a part of an “ongoing transformational series to equip you to live out your kingdom purpose.” It is a Focus on the Family Resource published by Tyndale House Publishers.

This devotional includes fifty-two themes considered essential for spiritual growth. Intended for use five days per week, there are 260 family devotions. Each includes a scripture and a devotion, with some including suggested prayer starters or acts of service. It is designed as a tool for parents to use with their children to instill Biblical truth and spiritual values. The introduction says, “If we’re ever to see the salvation of our nation, we must first pursue the salvation of the family.”

I was impressed with this devotional.  It is one of the few I’ve seen that actually provides a detailed explanation for its use. It also encourages flexibility to adapt it for your particular family. Its hard cover is intended to stand up to a whole year’s use in a busy, active family.

I would recommend this book for anyone looking for practical ways to enhance family spiritual health.

I received this book free from the publisher and was not required to write a positive review.
