Jesus Talked to Me Today: True Stories of Children’s Encounters with Angels, Miracles, and God, compiled by James Stuart Bell, is a lovely book. With the premise that we could all benefit from being more like children in our faith, Bell presents these stories and encourages readers to experience God “from the innocent eyes and ears and hearts of children.”
This book contains approximately forty stories filled with the various experiences of children’s encounters with God. It tells of a girl who felt herself slipping away to death due to cancer, only to feel that she had the choice to return and be healed. Another girl and her siblings were being bullied, but prayed with their family about it. Soon after, the bullies ran away from them, saying that there were large men standing behind the children. Still another boy felt himself being pulled out of the ocean waves by a man’s hand, but there was no one close to him when he surfaced.
This book was full of refreshing stories of children’s experiences with God and His ways. It reminded me that there is a spiritual world that we are not usually even aware of.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys stories of miracles and angels.
I received this book free from the publisher and was not required to write a positive review.
