Book Review, “Heroes of the Bible Treasury,” Zonderkidz publishers

Heroes of the Bible Treasury cover

The Heroes of the Bible Treasury, is a marvelous children’s book published by Zonderkidz. A hardcover book, it contains six level two Adventure Bible I Can Read stories. Level two stories involve reading with help. They have longer sentences and language play for developing readers.

This book contains the following stories: Noah’s Voyage, Moses Leads the People, Elijah God’s Mighty Prophet, Joseph the Dreamer, Brave Queen Esther, and Paul Meets Jesus. Each story is written in simple vocabulary, easy for young readers. Each includes several pages to read, then a section entitled People in Bible Times and a section with various titles that gives fun facts related to the story. All are beautifully illustrated by David Miles with gorgeous age-appropriate pictures.

I enjoyed this book. It will appeal to any young child wanting to read the Bible for himself. The pictures are incredibly done and detailed enough to provide a little extra information not included in the words of the story.

I would recommend this book to anyone attempting to encourage young children to form a habit of reading the Bible for themselves.

I received this book free from the publisher and was not required to write a positive review.
