Book Review, “Restore My Soul,” Ann-Margret Hovsepian author

Restore My Soul coverRestore My Soul, written and illustrated by Ann-Margret Hovsepian, is a marvelous book.  It is subtitled “a coloring book devotional journey.”

This book is beautifully illustrated with pictures of 40 different designs including clocks, plants, quilts, and even a compass.  Each pair of pages contains a short devotion, including a Bible verse and a challenge to the reader to deepen his relationship with Christ. The pages contain black and white illustrations with extremely intricate designs. One can focus on minute details within each picture.  The pages are thick enough to allow for the use of markers, coloring pens, colored pencils, or crayons to complete each page.

I enjoyed this book.  The devotionals are well-written and easy for anyone to relate to. It is designed to help one relax while using it.  It encourages the use of one’s imagination. I appreciate the fact that there is no right or wrong way to complete each page. I especially liked the pages with the water faucet and the bridge.

I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a short devotional as well as a creative way to express himself and relax.

I received this book free from the publisher and was not required to write a positive review.
