Book Review, “The Gentle Art of Discipling Women,” Dana Yeakley author

The Gentle Art of Discipling Women coverThe Gentle Art of Discipling Women, by Dana Yeakley, encourages “nurturing authentic faith in ourselves and others.” It is designed to assist people in carrying out the Great Commission’s command to “go and make disciples.”

The book is divided into two parts: “Be His Disciple,” and “Make a Disciple.” Each part contains four chapters. Part one includes: “We Are Forgiven,” “We Are Safe,” “We Have Access,” and “We Are Becoming.” Part two includes: “How Do We Create a Life-Giving Atmosphere?” “Whom Do We Help?” “What Do We Share?” and “How Does Discipling One-on-One Actually Work?” These are followed by a leader’s guide to equip and prepare anyone to lead a group in this study.

This is a practical approach to train women to disciple others and strengthen their own faith. The author uses stories from her own experiences to illustrate her points. It is wonderfully done, and I would recommend it to anyone interested in leading others to Christ.

I received this book free from the publisher and was not required to write a positive review.
