When Love Returns, by Kim Vogel Sawyer, is the third book in the Zimmerman Restoration Trilogy. It follows When Mercy Rains and When Grace Sings. It finishes the story where it began, with Suzanne and Paul.
Suzanne Zimmerman has returned to the Old Order Mennonite community of her childhood to take care of her mother and her daughter’s bed and breakfast while Alexa returns to Indiana to find her birth mother. Paul begins to experience growing pains with his son and needs advice. Alexa struggles with her search for the woman who left her behind the home for unwed mothers years ago. Meanwhile, Suzanne and Paul must watch silently while their biological daughter plans her wedding, unable to tell her the truth about who they really are.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Like its predecessors, it was filled with love, grace, and faithfulness. I especially like secondary characters Tom and Linda. They are a refreshing pair! I also like the fact that many of the characters admit their mistakes from the past in order to make peace and move forward in the present.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Amish Fiction.
I received this book free from the publisher and was not required to write a positive review.
