Book Review, “The Inn at Ocean’s Edge,” Colleen Coble author

The Inn at Ocean's Edge coverThe Inn at Ocean’s Edge, by Colleen Coble, is a wonderful novel! The first in the Sunset Cove series, it is a thrilling suspense that will keep the reader’s attention until the very end! The second book in this series, Mermaid Moon, is set to become available in December of 2015.

Claire Dellamare rushes to join her father for an important meeting regarding their family business. Upon arriving at the Hotel Tourmaline, however, she begins to have alarming flashbacks and threats to her life. Despite her parents’ efforts to suppress the truth, she learns that she disappeared for a year on her fourth birthday at this very hotel. Luke Rocco’s mother disappeared the very same day, and the two of them begin to track clues and search for the truth. It seems that many people have been hiding the truth, which turns out to be more unsettling than Claire or Luke ever imagined.

This was a great book! I did not want to put it down! It is filled with twists and turns to the plot, involving characters that seem totally uninvolved at the beginning. I especially enjoyed the setting, Maine’s coast, and the inclusion of the baby orca.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Christian suspense novels.

I received this book free from the publisher and was not required to write a positive review.
