365 Pocket Prayers for Mothers: Guidance and Wisdom for Each New Day, by Amie Carlson, Karen Hodge, and Erin Keeley Marshall, is a charming book written to help mothers in their daily prayer lives. It is written on the premise that no matter the age of their children, mothers are continually thinking of them and/or concerned about them.
This book is sturdy, with a Bible-like feel and an attached ribbon marker. It includes a “year’s worth of unique prayers that cover a broad range of topics.” There is a topical index in the back as a reference. Topics include abandonment, change, character, balance, guilt, obedience, purity, and spiritual growth, among many others. Every few days, a few entries entitled Prayerful Moments provide shorter prayers for days when one’s schedule does not allow for a longer prayer time.
I was impressed with this book. Its durable quality and purple cover are appealing to any woman. Its topics cover practical issues that many mothers struggle with every day. Bible verses are listed for each day’s prayer.
I would recommend this book for mothers with children of any age.
I received this book free from the publisher and was not required to write a positive review.
