Book Review, “NIV Teen Study Bible,” Zondervan publishers

NIV teen study Bible cover

The NIV Teen Study Bible, published by Zondervan, is designed to assist teen readers in their relationships with God. Larry and Sue Richards have written the many features included to assist toward this goal.

This Bible is presented in the complete NIV text. Each book begins with a book introduction including “headlines” that outline key events and a “news ticker” that details world events happening when each book was written. Other features included in this Bible are “Panorama,” “To the Point,” “Dear Jordan,” “Instant Access,” “Bible Promises,” and “Questions & Answers.” There is a guide in the back that explains how to read the Bible in one or two years.

Overerall, I liked this Bible. I would have liked to see it in a red letter edition, and the print is presented in a very small font. Also, the “Dear Jordan” section gives a few controversial answers on topics such as the role of women in the church. However, this would be a great Bible for someone just beginning to delve into God’s Word.

I received this Bible free from the publisher and was not required to write a positive review.
