Book Review, “Bluebonnet Bride,” Colleen Coble author

bluebonnet bride coverBluebonnet Bride is another excellent story by Colleen Coble. A Love Across the Sea novella, the story is set in Austin, Texas in 1907. Nathan White has sent for a mail-order bride, and Elli Korpela arrives from Finland to marry him with bluebonnets she has picked to put on her straw hat.

Elli marries Nathan, agreeing to care for his daughter, Hannah. She hopes that troubles from Henri Laine, a neighbor Elli thinks killed her father, have not followed her across the ocean. But shortly after their marriage, someone breaks in and attacks Elli. The problems continue, until Nathan and Elli begin to wonder what will happen next.

I enjoyed reading Elli and Nathan’s story. They made a charming couple. The twist at the end added much to the story. I would recommend this story to anyone who enjoys Christian historical romances.

I received this book free from the publisher and was not required to write a positive review.
